Los Angeles, CA- Larry Scott Anderson, 53, formerly of Danville, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2012 at Longwood Manor in Los Angeles. Larry was born October 3, 1958 in Danville, the son of Robert A. and M. Joan (Rothgeb) Anderson. He is survived by his parents, two brothers, John A. Anderson of Carmel, IN and Wesley (Judy) Anderson of Danville, two nieces, Alison (Jake) Kreider of Gurnee, IL and Kelli Anderson of Champaign. Two special friends were Jim Holden and "Julia", the activity director at a nursing home. Larry attended Danville Schools and Kemper Military School. He was a left-handed catcher for several years at Producer's Park Little League. At age 12, he became an umpire and umpired for Little League, Women's and Men's softball, and Twilight League at Garfield Park. Larry was a creative writer, working at Paramount Studio. He wrote the story, "Louie and the Blind Girl" for the TV series, "Taxi." He won an "Addi" award for his writing and skills in advertising, and he was a member of the Writer's Guild of America. As per Larry's wishes, he will be cremated. Graveside services will be held at a later date. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville, is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made in Larry's name to the Heart Association or Provena Cancer Center.
