Larry Marx, 58, of Rossville, formerly of Windber, Pennsylvania, passed away at 9:29 p.m. Monday, March 29, 2010 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. Larry was born on December 25, 1951 in Windber, Pennsylvania, the son of Harold and Mary (Sarka) Newcomer. He married Carol Naugle on August 7, 1971 in Windber, Pennsylvania. She survives. He is also survived by his mom- Mary Newcomer of Windber, Pennsylvania; four sons- Brian (Laurie) Marx of Windber, Pennsylvania, Daniel (Danielle) Marx of Rossville, Joel (Mandy) Marx of Blueridge, Virginia and Ian Marx of Rossville; two daughters- Pamela (Joseph) Clark of Rossville and Leah (Andrew) Jett of Alvin; 11 grandchildren- Sydney and Sage Clark, Nick, Gretchen, Ethan, Charlotte, Colin and Camden Marx, Taylor, Elliana and Lucy Jett; two brothers- Harold (Darlene) Newcomer of Windber, Pennsylvania and John Newcomer; special brother-in-law- Bruce Naugle of Windber, Pennsylvania and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his step-father- Harold Newcomer. Larry worked as a Quality Assurance Manager for Freight Car America for over 30 years in Danville and Pennsylvania. He loved working for the railroad industry. Larry was a member of the Rossville Kingdom Hall. He enjoyed kayaking, skiing, skydiving and going to the beach. His greatest love was spending time with his grandchildren. A Celebration of the life of Larry Marx will be at 4:00 p.m. Friday, April 2, 2010 at the Rossville Kingdom Hall (corner of Grove Street and Green Street), with Robert Taylor officiating. Family will be present from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall. Per Larrys wishes he will be cremated. E-mail condolences may be sent to the family at: www.sunsetfuneralhome.com.
