Larry Lee Decker

Larry Lee Decker Sr, 74, of Danville, was promoted to glory on Sunday, November 18,2018 at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center, Danville. he was born February 27,1944 in Danville, IL, the son of Arthur and Merle (Keller) Decker. Larry loved his family, friend and church. He was an active member at Faith Baptist Church and was a graduate of Midwest Bible College, a ministry of Faith Baptist church. He retired from General Motors. His most recent hobbies included watching the cubs playing, guitar, a little golf, arguing politics on Facebook and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren He was a very happy man, full of life with his heart wide open to anyone he encountered. He was very much loved by all and will be greatly missed. He was proceeded in death by Margo Elizabeth Decker, Betty Howie , son Larry Lee Decker Jr, granddaughter, Lacy Marie Fox Nelson. He leaves behind his wife Phyllis Decker; one sister, Sandy (Chubs) Lappin; two brothers, David Charles (Anita) Decker, Terry Wayne (Judy) Decker; half-brothers, Arther Decker Jr and Dennis Decker; half-sister, Carolyn Froning; three children, Kevin Lamont (Cindy) Decker, Misty Lee (Thomas) Harden and Lorrie Ann (John) Olsen; step daughter, Beth Ann Fuller; Step children, Jerry Hickman ,Robin Walsh , Micheal Howie; grandchildren, Tawny Marie (Bryan) Powell, Alexis Margo(Joshua) Watkins, Abby Nicole Decker, Jessica Elizabeth (Tyler) Russell, Cinnamon Leann Fox, Jeremy Allen (Ashley) Fox, Robert Haskin (Ashley) Caudill Jr, Melissa Sue Caudill, Jordon Lee (Lidsee) Decker, Larry Lee Decker lll, Christopher Howe, Maranda Kay Decker, LaCinda Marie Fuller, Joshua Micheal Fuller and Christina Nicole Fuller; step grandchildren, Richard Olsen, Keith Olsen and several other step grandchildren; many great grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday, November 23, 2018 at Faith Baptist Church, 920 Warrington Ave, Danville. Graveside service will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Johnson Cemetery. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in assisting the family in making arrangements.
