Larry Jones

Larry Jones,59, of Danville, passed away at 6:28 pm, Sunday 22,2007 at Vermilion Manor Nursing Home. Larry was born July 7, 1947 in Danville the son of Fenard and Lillie Ross Jones. On May 9, 1969 he married Randi Gist in Danville. She survives. Also surviving are his sons Marc D. Jones and Matthew (Bonnie) Jones; Grandson of the heart Kane Arlington and grandchildren Robert Griffith and Eryn Jones; a brother Clarence A. ( Frances) Jones and sisters Ella Mae Warner, Dorothy Loden, Shirley Bendstra and Caroline Wolfe. Also many nieces and nephews. Very special extended family, Nathaniel (the late Margareta) Smith, Rashim, Anthony, Lolita, Stephanie, Alesha, Shawn and Shawnette, Ivan, Anthea, Carmalita and Rachelle.he was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers Charles, Robert, Roy Jones. Larry retired from General Motors where he was a core processor. He had a great love of fishing and nature, but most of all he enjoyed his grandchildren. He was a very caring man and will be missed deeply by all who knew him. A celebration of Larrys life will be held on Thursday, April 26,2007 at 2:00 pm. at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center. Pastor Randy Downey officiating. Entombment Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Memorials to the Provena USMC Cancer Center, Rock Church or Crosspoint Human Services PSR appreciated.
