Larry J. Bridgman, 69, of Rankin, IL, passed away on Saturday, June 09, 2012 at the Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. He was born on April 26, 1943, in Danville, the son of Henry and Dorothy (Van Allen) Bridgman. Surviving is his mother Dorothy,his four sons: Scott (Bridgett) Bridgman of Potomac, Joe (Kim) Bridgman of Potomac, John Bridgman ( fiance Lindsey) of Penfield, and Glen Bridgman (special friend Melinda of Potomac. His five grandchildren; Brittany, Morgan, Austin, Blythe, and Kaydence; his sister, Janet Andrews of Bismarck, two special little buddies, Lane and Levi, his four special friends; Harold, Kenny, Sam, Robert, as well as many nieces and nephews also survive Larry.His father, Henry preceded Larry in death. He was a graduate of Armstrong High School and was self-employed as a truck driver. Larry loved to visit and would help anyone out that he could, and did so many times. He was blessed with a loving family, and many special friends that were with him until the end. Larry was also an honorary member of the SC Express. He will be sadly missed by all that knew him. A Celebration of the Life of Larry Bridgman is scheduled for 11:00am on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at Sunset's Oakwood Chapel located at 105 East South Main Street, Oakwood, IL with burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Pastor Randy Holton has been asked by the family to officiate. Visitation for family and friends will be from 4-8pm on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at the funeral home.
