Larry Hitzeroth

Larry Hitzeroth passed away on April 16, 2024, at 9:07 PM. He was 80 years old.

Larry was born on July 25, 1943 the son of Luther and Helen Hitzeroth in Danville, IL.

Larry was a dedicated and hardworking individual who spent his career at Heatcraft in Danville, Illinois. His commitment to his work and his colleagues was evident throughout his years of service until his well-earned retirement. Known for his reliability and strong work ethic, Larry left a lasting impression on everyone he worked with.

Outside of his work life, Larry had a zest for adventure and a love for the outdoors. He was an avid Harley-Davidson enthusiast, often found riding his motorcycle on scenic routes and attending biker rallies. His garden was his sanctuary, where he spent countless hours nurturing plants and enjoying the tranquility it brought him. Larry was also a passionate ultramarathon runner, a testament to his determination and physical endurance, often participating in races and inspiring others with his dedication to the sport. Due to his passion for running he was known as the "Runner in Westville".

Larry is survived by his daughters, Sharon (B. Scott Eggers) Hitzeroth of Lebanon, MO, Amy (Tom) Spindler of Bartlett, IL, his son, Travis Hitzeroth of Champaign, IL, as well as four grandchildren, Hallie, Claire and Graham Spindler, Maxwell Hitzeroth and his sister, Sally (John) Eakle of Danville, IL.

A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 am on June 1, 2024 at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville, Illinois 3901 N Vermilion Street Danville, IL 61832.
