Larry Herman Cole

Larry Herman Cole, 80, of Westville, passed away at 6:04pm, Friday, December 28, 2018, at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center, Danville. He was born on October 26, 1938, in Danville, the son of Herman Lester and Georgia Margurite {Cranmore} Cole. He was united in marriage to Karen K. Slevin in May of 1997. She survives.

He is also survived by: his daughters, Janet S. Cole of Champaign and Teresa L. (Jeff) Chaney of Westville; his five grandchildren, Amanda Chaney, Lukas Knight, Jenna Chaney, Jeffrey Chaney, & William Knight; his three great grandchildren, Brandon, Ava, his three step-children, Wayne A (Gina Acosta) Slevin, Gary L. (Autumn Cope) Slevin, & Virginia J. (Aaron) Williams; his thirteen step-grandchildren; his one step great grandchild, Paisley; and his special friends, Jerry Hannan & Allen Alford. He was preceded in death by: his parents; his sisters, Georgia C. Hinchman & Sonnia L. Henthorn; and his brother, Ronald D. Cole.

Larry worked at Berkeley-Davis which was later called, Automation International, in Danville until his retirement after 35 years of service. He was an avid coin collector and loved spending time with family and friends. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00pm, Thursday, January 3, 2019, at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, 414 S. State St., Westville, with Pastor James Blue officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to his service at the funeral home. As were his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.
