Larry D. 'Bruno' Anderson

Larry D. Bruno Anderson, 57, of Westville, passed away at 1:56pm, Tuesday, February 22, 2011, at Kennekuk Cove County Park in rural Danville. He was born on July 24, 1953, in Danville, the son of Lawrence Anderson and Mary Lou (Turpin) Sigler. Larry was a proud Veteran of the US Navy and served in Vietnam from 1971-73. He worked in construction and was an Ironworker with the Local #380 since 1977. He was also a member of St. Marys Church of Westville and the Westville Sportsman Club. He enjoyed going fishing, hunting and mushroom hunting. Larry was an avid sports fan, especially enjoyed watching the Illini and Chicago Bears and also enjoyed riding his motorcycle. Most of all, Larry loved his family and friends was known as a thoughtful and giving person. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Larry leaves behind: his mother, Mary Lou (Darrell) Sigler of Hartselle, AL; his fianc(c), Teresa Ritchie of Westville; his son, John (Michelle) Anderson of Danville; his daughter, Patricia Harris of Danville; his grandchildren, Nicole Harris, John Anderson Jr, Branden Harris, Ashlynn Anderson, Tyler Anderson, Madison Kelterborn, & Samantha Kelterborn; his sister, Debbie (Jim) Blankenship of Decatur, AL; many nieces & nephews; and his puppy dog, Grant. Larry was preceded in death by: his father, Lawrence; his sister, Marilyn Kay Ceader; and his niece, Danielle Rae Zaayer. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, February 26, 2011, at St. Marys Church, 231 N State St, Westville, with Father Sauppe officiating. He will be laid to rest in Greenview Cemetery in Fairmount with full military rites conducted by Westville American Legion Post #51. A gathering of family & friends will be held 4pm-8pm, Friday, February 25, 2011, at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, A Life Celebration Home, 414 S State St, Westville, with a Rosary to be held at 3:30pm. Memorial donations may be given in Larrys name to: American Diabetes Foundation or American Cancer Society.
