Larry Blough, 75, of Danville passed away at home on December 1, 2022 at 6:20 PM.
Larry was born on February 15, 1947 Robert Rodney and Anna May (White) in Chicago, IL. He was married to Jonna Barbee on November 15, 1986 in Danville and she survives.
Survivors include his former wife, Jonna Blough of Danville, IL, one daughter, two sons, Andrew Barbee of Danville, IL and Max Barbee of Danville, IL, four grandchildren, Eliana, Alyssa and Mia Garza and Michael Barbee all of Danville, IL, one brother, Richard Barry Blough of Tilton, IL as well as several nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
Larry was a member of the Pleasant Grove Bible Chapel in Danville, IL where he was on the board and very active in all aspects of weekly functions. He played guitar and sang on a regular basis at church service. He was retired from Tee Pak, and a former marathon runner. He was also a lifetime member of the Fairmount Sportsman Club and an avid fisherman. He had fish frys at his home and hosted way too many people for his small house. He loved bringing family and friends together, providing a wonderful meal, and having drawings for prizes that he loved shopping for. In the past he fished twice a year in Canada. In addition to fishing, he enjoyed baking, his current favorite being cookies. He donated dozens of cookies to the Danville Rescue Mission. Larry's world revolved around God and church, his children and especially his grandchildren. They had just made their annual Black Friday shopping trip, and Larry was in full Christmas mode. He had a heart of gold, and our family will miss him so very much. He was our rock.
