Larry B Rollins, Jr.

Larry B. Rollins, Jr., 64 of Perrysville, IN, passed this life on December 5th, 2021 at Franciscan Health, Indianapolis, Indiana in the arms of his loving wife, Sandy. They were married on December 29, 1988 in Springfield, TN with her loving sister Susie as witness. Larry was born Dec. 15, 1956, in Danville, IL, to Larry B Rollins and Elizabeth Ann Oaks Rollins. He was preceded in death by his parents, nephew Andrew Godsil, son-in-law Nate Baker, granddaughter Journey Grace Baker, a sister Edna Goodwin, nephew Rylan Smith and his beloved father-in-law Wayne Kizer. He watches over his family to include his brother Tim (Ramona) Rollins, sister Rosella (Bill) Erickson, sister Jo Ann Grider, sister Donna Truax (Brad), sister Susan Wilson (Russ), brother in law John Goodwin, two sons, Neil (Allison) Rollins of Ridge Farm, IL and Garrett (Lacey) Rollins of Georgetown, IL., a daughter Christie Baker of Perrysville, IN; Twelve grandchildren, Abigail, Brandon, William, Anthony, Melody, Lennon, Joplynn; Tyler, McKenzi, Hayden, and Lili-Bug. Seven great grandchildren, Myli, Harvey, Wrenli, Avery, Aria, Jasper, Oakli Jane and many extended family and dear friends (too many to name). Larry was raised in Georgetown, IL where he attended school, graduating in 1975. He worked for General Motors for 30 years, retiring in 2003 from Janesville, WI. After GM, he worked for John Donaldson Construction, Inc, (Pete) in Ventura, CA, for 10 years, traveling around the country and Canada with Sandy and son Garrett supervising construction jobs until January 2013. He then worked for Downtown Diamond & Pawn (Kent Dukes) in Danville, IL. He enjoyed going to the "Round Table" in Perrysville meeting with all his buddies (you know who you are), solving the worlds problems and telling lies. He also enjoyed NASCAR, dirt track racing, which included helping his son Neil on his racecar, washing and waxing his vehicles, doing home improvement projects for family and friends, but most of all, just sitting around his quiet home in the woods watching TV with Sandy, especially Jeopardy. He was a member of West Liberty Church of Christ in Covington, IN where he served as Deacon. He loved his church family. A visitation will be held at West Liberty Church of Christ, 2806 State Rd 32, Covington IN, with services conducted by his dear friend Kurt Flora on Saturday December 11th, 2021 from 3 pm to 6 pm (Indiana time), with a Celebration of Life to directly follow. Cremation rights will be accorded. In lieu of flowers please make donations in his memory to West Liberty Church of Christ, The Leukemia Lymphoma Society or to Be The Match. Larry fought Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). Due to a BE THE MATCH stem cell donation from an anonymous donor and from his son Neil, (along with the love and prayers from family and friends) Larrys life was extended and he was beyond thankful.
