Larry A. Hughes

Larry A. Hughes, Sr., 67 of Danville passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville. He was born on October 25, 1951 in Danville, Illinois, the son of Herschel and Irene (Pearson) Hughes.

He will be dearly missed by his son; Larry Hughes, Jr., daughters; Jamie (Randy Durbin) Hughes, Cathy (Gerald) Ruholl, and Tammy Goodrich, sister; Pamela Hughes, grandchildren; Thomas Spencer, Kyle Speagle, Blake Thilker, Logan Thilker, Jeffery Durbin, John Durbin, Kaitlyn Durbin, Timmy Goodrich, Nicole Kuhlman, Shanon Fitzgerald and several great-grandchildren; niece, Jody Hughes Johnson; Nephews, Dave and Keith Hughes.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

He was a member of the Teamster Union Local 26. Larry enjoyed fishing and classic cars and was an avid White Sox fan. Larry also loved spending time with is grandchildren.

A celebration of Larrys life will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N. Vermilion, Danville, Il. 61834. A visitation will be held from 1:00 pm 2:00 pm at the funeral home prior to the service. He will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park.
