Lan Thi Sollars

Lan Thi. Sollars, 54, of Danville, passed away at 4:07 p.m. on Thursday October 19, 2006, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. Lan was born February 13, 1952 in Vietnam, the daughter of Khen Nguyen and Pham Thi Phen. She married Tinee L. Sollars on April 3, 1972 in Gatesville, TX. He preceded her in death on March 26, 2005. Lan is survived by her mother Phan Thi Nguyen of Vietnam; two daughters, Lynn (Mark) Johnson of Peru, IN and Mary (Jay) Meeker of Henning, IL; four grandchildren, Kaylani and Kenzi Johnson both of Peru, IN, and Jasmyn and Lilly Meeker both of Henning, IL and six brothers. She was preceded in death by her father. Lan enjoyed gardening, crocheting, raising pet birds and going to church. She loved to spend time with her family and grandchildren. A celebration of Lans life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 23, 2006 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Rev. James Blue officiating. Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, October 22, 2006. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park. Memorials may be made in Lans name to St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital.
