Lakia Gallion

Lakia K. Gallion, 19, of Danville passed away at her home at 7:32 AM on Wednesday, June 15, 2022. She was born on October 13, 2002.

She is survived by her mother, Susan Thurston of Danville and father, Fred Gallion; aunts, Lisa (Mike) King, Annette (Bob) Newport, and Aunt Cinnamon; several cousins and aunts and uncles on both sides; and her special caretaker Erica Washington and her girls.

She was preceded in death by her Grandma Eileen.

Lakia was a beautiful soul who liked listening to music. She loved to be outside and to look at all the flowers whenever she could. Lakia had a smile so bright that it could light up the world around her. She touched everyone that met her.

Cremation rites have been entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion St., Danville, IL, 61834. A celebration will be July 15 at the Hideaway at Kennekuk Cove Park from 1 to 4 pm, casual dress, music, chips and dip will be served.
