Lai-Mun Lam

Champaign Lai-Mun (Amy) Lam, 65, passed away on Wednesday, June 9th, 2021 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL after battling cancer for months.

She was born on February 7th, 1956 in Hong Kong to Siu Ten Kock and Pio Tan. Lai-Mun married Francis Tin-Chung Lam in Hong Kong. She is survived by her children Philip (Vivian) Lam, Melissa (Michael) Lee, Miranda (Timothy) Apperson, and Michael Lam; grandchildren Victor, Elise, James, Christopher, Isabella, Autumn, Sienna, and Addison; siblings Mow, Lana, Kris, Lily, David, and Arnold; best friend Wendy and her children Dennis, Karen, and Justin. She was preceded in death by her parents (Siu Ten Kock and Pio Tan) and one sister (Frances Chan).

Lai-Mun enjoyed gardening, baking, fishing, traveling, and challenging puzzles. She loved helping others, trying new things, and spending time with her family.

Visitation will be held from 1pm-4pm on Saturday, June 19th, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center (710 N Neil St. Champaign, Illinois 61820).
