Lacey Jo Weber

Lacey Jo Gross- Gentry Weber, a beloved soul whose kindness touched the lives of all she encountered, passed away on June 4, 2025, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Illinois. Born on September 13, 1980, in Danville, Illinois, Lacey brought light into the world and carried that light through every moment she lived.

For the past two years, Lacey embraced her role at AutoZone, where she endeared herself to her coworkers, who adored her generous spirit and infectious smile. Known for her unwavering kindness, she consistently sought ways to help others, often putting their needs before her own. Lacey was more than just a colleague; she was a comforting presence who radiated warmth and compassion in every interaction. Lacey was also fiercely independent and protective of those she loved. She could always be counted on to be honest and open about her thoughts in any situation.

Lacey was also a woman of many interests and passions. She loved immersing herself in the music scene, frequently attending concerts that filled her heart with joy. Beyond music, she found solace in the pages of books, displaying a genuine love for reading that earned her the affectionate title of "bookworm."

At the heart of Lacey’s life were her daughters Meghan Gross, Cailyn Gentry, and Ashley Fassold, along with her cherished granddaughter Addalynn Coe. Her family was her world, and she poured her love and dedication into each of them. She leaves behind her significant other, Shane Gross, who knew her as a partner and best friend. Lacey is also survived by her mother, Susan Sheldon, her stepfather, Peter Sheldon; her father, Terry Warner; and her siblings Jacob Shultz, Sabrina Schultz, Amanda (Adam) Spafford, and Seanna Burgess.
