L. Rose Quinlan

L. Rose Quinlan,81, of Danville, passed away at 8:30am on Wednesday January 10, 2018. Rose was born in London, KY on January 6, 1937 the daughter of Claude and Ida Johnson. On February 10, 1987 Rose married the love of her life Fred Elwood Quinlan and they spent many years together before his passing on April 14, 2002. Rose is survived by her daughters, Kathy (Donald) Hawn, Pam(Rick) Cox, Regine (Tim) Martin, son, Donald F. (Lynn) Martin Jr., sister, Billy Stanley, 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Rose is preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson Jonathan, great-grandson Isaiah, and 5 siblings. Rose will always be remembered as a social butterfly whether it be at a holiday party, a carry-in or even playing cards with her friends and family she truly enjoyed surrounding herself with the ones she loved. Religion was an important outlet for Rose. She was a member of Danville Faith Baptist and in her spare time she could be found reading her bible. She will be missed by everyone she met over her many years. The family would like to send a special thank you to Danville Dialysis, Immanuel Senior Residence, Newell Township and to Sarah. A graveside service will be held Friday January 12, 2018 at 2pm at the Danville National Cemetery. Officiating will be pastor Allan Rudie. Sunset Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to the Shriners Hospital or Faith Baptist Church of Danville.
