L. Maxine Marlatt

L. Maxine Marlatt, 88, of Danville, went to be with God, family and friends, at 8:45am on Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at the Danville Care Center. She was born on January 2, 1921 in Danville, the daughter of Henry Luther and Edith Pearl (Pavey) (Long) Lindley. Both deceased. On July 18, 1944, Maxine married Mr. Wayne E. Marlatt in St. Louis, MO. He preceded her in death in 1990. Surviving Maxine are her two daughters, Carol Jean LeLoup of Danville, and Debra Denise Marlatt of Danville. Her two grandchildren, David Wayne Marlatt of California, Dawn Marie (Steve) Rutan of Il, and her two great-grandchildren, Joshua Caleb Marlatt, and Tristan Marie Rutan also survive Maxine. Her seven brothers, and four sisters, precede her in death. Maxine was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, a Danville High School graduate, and a graduate from St. Elizabeth School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse both at St. Elizabeth Hospital and later, at the Danville VA Medical Center, retiring in 1983. In her spare time, she enjoyed her family, gardening, and Genealogy.
