L. Maxine Lasley

Eugene, Ind. -- L. Maxine Lasley, 77, of Eugene, Indiana, passed away at 8:31 p.m. EST Monday(March 5, 2007) at West Central Community Hospital in Clinton, Indiana. She was born January 12, 1930, in Chanute, Kansas, the daughter of the late Hosea and Virgie Morrison Jones. She married Floyd "Perk" Lasley on December 30, 1968 in Chanute, Kansas. He preceded her in death on February 23, 1997. Survivors include: two sons, Jackie Bright of Chanute, Kansas and Ronald Bright of Miramar, Florida; adopted daughter, Debbie Carron of Cayuga, Indiana; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren; one sister, Betty(Robert)Kern of Warsaw, Missouri; two brothers, Buck(Debbie)Jones of Chanute, Kansas and Gerald Jones of Beloit, Kansas. She was preceded in death by one sister. Maxine attended the Liberty Church east of Georgetown, Illinois. She enjoyed sewing and quilting. Memorial services: 7p.m. EDT Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at DeVerter Brothers Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Rev. Rodney Overpeck.
