Kurt D. Pickering

Kurt D. Pickering, 58, passed away at 2:20 PM on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at his home in Champaign. He was born on March 19, 1960 the son of Kenneth Dean and Linda Lou Pickering. His father precedes him in death, his mother survives. Also surviving are his children, Keith Pickering and Jessica Pickering; one brother, Kent (Mary) Pickering; three sisters, Pamela (Jeff) Jackman, Kathi (Troy) Byerly, and Terri (Joe) Paoletto; grandchildren, Warren, Paige, and Cloey; along with several nieces and nephews. Kurt had many hobbies. He enjoyed working in the yard, working on his carpentry projects, and loved his Harley. He also had a love for animals, especially his dog Savage. Kurt loved to have fun, he was the life of the party. He had a big heart and will be missed dearly by his family and the people that loved him. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, IL, has been entrusted with arrangements. Per Kurt's request there will be a private family service.
