Kristina Lee' Green' McVey 48 of Fithian, passed away at 5:40 pm Saturday January 29, 2005 at home with her family by her side. She was born February 18, 1956 in Danville the daughter of Gail C. and Dolores Green. She graduated from Oakwood High School in 1974, and received her Bachelors of Science degree in Business in 1978 and her Master's degree in Business Administration in 1983 from Eastern Illinois University. She is a member of the United Methodist Church in Oakwood. She married Lloyd McVey Jr. on September 16, 1978. She and Lloyd shared interests in classic cars and Harley Davidson motorcycles. Kristina worked at Hyster Company/NACCO Materials and Handling Group (NMHG) in Danville since 1979 where she held the position of Human Resource Manager. She was an active member of the United Way Allocations and Board of Directors, and led several successful United Way campaigns at NMHG. She also participated in activities that benefited Habitat for Humanity, Big Brother/Big Sisters, and Danville Leadership Tomorrow, along with several other agencies in our local community. She is survived by her husband Lloyd, her parents Gail and Dolores Green of Oakwood and a brother and sister- in-law Kevin and Sue Green of Oakwood. A niece Shannon K.Green, Lake Forest, Il, a nephew Travis W. Green, Lexington, Ky, and many aunts , uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Roy and Della Green, and her maternal grandparents, N.W. and Bessie Poynter. Kristina enjoyed her job and spending time with family and friends. She really enjoyed giving and receiving love from her many household cats. If cats are allowed in heaven, she will have a cloud full.
