Kimberly Ann Leverenz

Kimberly Ann Leverenz, 57, passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her husband and children at Indiana University Hospital on Monday, February 5, 2018. She was born December 1, 1960 in St. George's Bermuda to Jack C. and Barbara (Patnoude) Strasser. Kimberly attended O'Fallon High School and Southern Illinois University Carbondale where she met the love of her life William T. Leverenz IV. They married on November 29, 1980 in Belleville, IL. Survivors include her children, Christopher (Dr. Anna), Bradley, and Dr. Ashley (Josh) Brunmeier; as well as her sister, Karol Arnette. She also leaves behind an old English Sheepdog, Barclay. He was very special to her. Kimberly loved spending time with her family, it brought her the greatest joy. Motherhood was first and foremost in her life. She spent countless hours volunteering at her children's school and extracurricular activities. She earned a reputation as an outstanding cook and loved preparing food at home and at tailgating events for family and friends. Kimberly enjoyed traveling, auto racing, horse racing, home improvement projects, and cycling. She also enjoyed politics and was a Precinct Committeeman, an Election Judge, and a VCGOP member. Other organizations she was involved with include the Danville Country Club, Lakeview Hospital Ladies Junior Auxiliary, Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority, and the Church of the Holy Trinity. She also won the Pet Supplies Plus Service Person of the Year Award. Kimberly enjoyed hosting and entertaining people at her home. Her friendly smile and infectious laugh will be sorely missed. She loved her country. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2017 at 2 PM at the Church of the Holy Trinity, 308 N. Vermilion in Danville, IL. Officiating will be Father Richard Lewis. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Danville at a later date. Visitation will be held at the church prior to the service from 1-2 PM.
