WESTVILLE - Kimberly A. Nigra, 40, of Westville, passed away at 3:45pm, Sunday, August 19, 2007 at the Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL. Kim was born on March 24, 1967 in Danville, the daughter of Talmer T. Bates Jr. and Elizabeth A. (Willis) Bates. Kim is survived by: her mother, Elizabeth; her father, Talmer; her son, Waylan D. Nigra, all of Westville; her three brothers, Talmer (Helen) Bates III of Westville, Barry (Jeananne) Bates of Ridge Farm, Anthony Bates of Kingsport, TN; her two sisters, Pamela Billingsley of Westville and Amy (Jeff) Melecosky of Westville; and many of her close friends. Kim will be missed by all that knew her. Her paternal grandparents, Talmer and Gladys (Shoup) Bates precede Kim in death. Kim was a 1986 Westville High School graduate and was later employed at PepsiCo-Quaker Oats Factory of Danville. She enjoyed motorcycle riding, going to the beach, and flowers. A celebration of life for Kimberly Nigra is scheduled for 10:00am on Thursday, August 23, 2007 at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel of Westville located at 414 S. State St. in Westville. Mr. Steve Rutter has been asked to officiate her service. Final resting place will be at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville. Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 22, 2007, from 4-8pm at the funeral home.
