Kim Edward Cunningham

Danville - Kim Edward Cunningham, 63, of Danville passed away at 10:44 AM on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at his home. He was born on August 1, 1953 in Danville to John and Shirley (Cole) Cunningham. He is survived by four sons, Justin Cunningham of Danville, Brent Cunningham of Danville, Brian Cunningham of Danville, and Brad (Krysteen) Cunningham of Champaign; mother of his four sons, Anita Cunningham; two grandsons, Mason and Nolan Cunningham; two sisters, Shelia Bruns of Penfield and Debbie Colleen of Danville; two nieces and a nephew; Special friends, Teresa and Kourtney Vance, and many other friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Penny Orr, and a nephew, Jason Orr. Kim was a member of Local Union #703 and retired in 2010 from Schaumburg Construction. Prior to that, he worked for 7 years as a butcher with Young's Packing, and tending horses at Marvin Woods' Farm. He enjoyed working on things around the house, watching NASCAR, baseball, college football, and the Fighting Illini. He loved to be outdoors and spending time with his friends, family, and grandkids. Kim also had a special place in his heart for his two cats, Tom and Tabby. A memorial visitation for Kim Cunningham will be held from 3-5 PM on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center at 3940 N. Vermilion St. in Danville.
