He attended Fayette Grade School and Potomac High School. Ken met the love of his life, Marjorie Susan Reynolds, while she was attending Armstrong High School. They were married on July 19, 1941 and shared 72 wonderful and blessed years together. Ken was a man of honor, not the least of which was his service to his country. He entered the United States Navy in 1943. Ken went overseas during World War II on the S.S. Klip Fontaine, an Army transport ship, and later boarded the USS Fuller in Noumea, New Caledonia for the next 24 months. During Kens tour of duty his daughter, Kennalynn Sue, was born. He was elated to see Sue for the first time at almost two months old during Christmas of 1943. Ken departed the Navy in 1945 and proudly continued his service at the Veterans Administration in Danville for the next forty years. He was the Medical Administrative Supervisor and the Chief Ward Administrative Section, retiring on March 1, 1985. Ken led a life of service of the church and dedication to his faith. Ken is survived by his sweetheart and wife, Marjorie; his daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Bill Kuhn of Minden, NV; grandchildren, Denise Barnhart and Darcey Kuhn; two great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Audrey and Henry Thorton of Potomac; brother and sister-in-law, Arnold and Lillian Reynolds of Champaign. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Donald and Eldon; and his sister, Alma.
