Perrysville, Ind -- Kenneth Ronald Knox, 76, of Perrysville, Ind passed away Thursday, October 12, 2006 at 1:30 am CDT at the VA Illiana Health Care System, Danville, Illinois. He was born September 30, 1930 in Newport, Indiana the son of the late John R. and Martha J. Keller Knox. Also preceding him death : two brothers, a sister, a granddaughter and a great-granddaughter. He married Virginia Shelato on August 1, 1953 in Covington, Indiana and she survives. Other survivors include their five children: Donna (Buzz) DeMotte, Kingman, Indiana, Charlene Graves, Covington, Indiana, Kenneth W. (Diane) Knox, Brazil, Indiana, Cheryl (Dave) Kincade, Williamsport, Indiana and Cindy (Scott) Grubbs, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, three sisters: Mary Ellen (Fred) Powell, Crawfordsville, Indiana, Virginia Elofson of Minnesota, Agatha McMillian, Mishawaka, Indiana and numerous nieces and nephews Kenneth first worked as a young man at the Veedersburg Brickyard. He then worked 30 years for Bohn Aluminum/Heat Craft in Danville, Illinois, retiring in 1992. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force as a radio operator during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Walter Hoyt American Legion Post # 350, of Perrysville, a life member of the Covington V.F.W. Post #2395. Kenneth enjoyed gardening, working on cars, mushrooming and most of all being with his family. Services: Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at 2 pm EDT at DeVerter Brothers Funeral Home Officiating: Rev. Larry Stoops Visitation: Monday, (October 16) from 4 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Military Rites conducted by the Walter Hoyt American Legion Post # 350 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association. Envelopes available at the funeral home.
