Kenneth R. Hiser

Kenneth R. Hiser, 79, of Danville, passed away on Monday, January 28, 2019 at 1:15 a.m. at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. He was born in Danville on October 04, 1939 the son of Charles and Gertrude (Jones) Hiser. They precede him in death.

Also preceding Kenny in death include two brothers, Bob and John Hiser; one sister, Jean Kinney; one special sister-in-law Paula; four brothers-in-law, Marvin, George, Glen, and Larry; and one special niece, Beth Kinney.

Surviving Kenny are one brother, Gary Hiser; sisters, Barbara Darr, Sharon (Ken) Bostwick, and Judy (Rick) Kentner; sister-in-law, Ann Hiser; special niece, Brenda Nielson; as well as several other nieces and nephews.

Kenny was a graduate of Bismarck High School. He was athletic and loved playing sports; his favorite sports to play were basketball and track. He was also a longtime fan of the Chicago Cubs. Along with loving sports he loved his job as a semi-truck driver. He owned Ken Hiser Trucking Company and at one time owned 5 of his own trucks. Kenny was a wonderful brother and uncle. His family will miss him dearly.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Friday, February 01, 2019 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion St. in Danville. Following visitation, a few words of prayer will be said by Pastor Chris Quick at the funeral home. Burial will be in Gundy Cemetery in Bismarck at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Bismarck Methodist Church.
