Kenneth Nelson Moore

Kenneth Nelson Moore, 70, of Tilton, IL passed away Sunday, June 20, 2021, at Carle Hospital Champaign, IL.

Kenny was born in Greencastle, Indiana on September 23, 1950, to Lloyd "John" and Marvel (Foley) Moore.

He graduated from Greencastle High School and retired from General Motors. In retirement Kenny loved working in his garden, going to auctions, playing cards, mushroom hunting and his dog Lilly.

He will be missed by his wife, Kathy Nixon Moore; mother, Marvel; son, Gerald; daughters, Christine Moore (Lorne Vaught) and Stephanie Moore (Al Tegal); sisters, Martha (Gary) Schopmeyer, Merrilee Turbidy, and Rose Moore (Andrea); his stepdaughters, Marcie (AJ) Wright, Jennifer DeVors, April (Joseph) Dow; stepson, Eric (Jill) DeVors as well as aunts, uncles, nieces nephews and great nieces and nephews, step-grandchildren and numerous friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Moore; paternal grandparents, Everett and Christine Moore, and maternal grandparents, Sy and Lulu Foley.

Visitation will be held from 1pm to 2pm on Thursday, June 24, 2021, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm at the funeral home with Steve Pearson officiating. Burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville.
