Kenneth Lee High, age 62, of Westville, Illinois was called home to Jesus on Friday, September 2, 2022. Kenneth was born September 3, 1959. Kenneth is survived by his parents, Dean and Doris High. His siblings, Dennis (Donna) High, Steve (Kay) High, Deanna (Randy) Rash, Stacey (Jami) High, Kurtis (Jamie) High. His children, Joey High (Kelsie Cushwa), Jade (Jessica) High, Ian (Jaime) Wyer, Kaylieh Nale (Kenneth Snook) His grandchildren, Kelsie, Laci, Laney, Skyler, Seth, Charlee, Pyper, Gunnar, Huxtan, Phoenix, and Kenlieh who lovingly called him "papaw" along with many nieces and nephews. As well as several close friends and family including Russ, Donnie, Ernie, The Smith Family, John, and Dennis. Kennys leisure time was given up to hunting, fishing, walking in the woods mushrooming, four wheelers, spending quality time with his family, his animals on his farm, and was also a proud member of the Hawbuck He-Man Woman Haters Crew. His son Joey remembers him as one of the strongest hard-working men he has ever known. He taught his children so much about life and was always there for them no matter what they were doing or where they were in life. "They dont make em like that anymore." Jade remembers his Dad as his biggest supporter in life. He taught him how to put his family first and to be a good father. His father instilled hard work ethic and taught him many things, including his love of hunting. "His family was always the most important thing in [Dads] life" Kaylieh said her dad was always rough on the boys but had a soft spot for her. She enjoyed spending time with him and walking through the woods and listening to his stories. He always told his stories like it was the first time, every time. According to Ian, Kenny was also known for his sense of humor and could often be overheard saying "That boy is none of my loins." Kenny was a family man, his soft spot always being his grandbabies. He loved being outside walking in the woods or staying busy in the barn. His passion for hunting overflowed to his children who then taught their children and will be passed down for generations. Memories with him and his unforgettable laugh will forever be cherished. He will forever and always be greatly missed. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
