Kenneth G. Pichon

Kenneth Kenny' Gene Pichon, 84, of Oakwood, passed away at 6:00am. Saturday, June 17, 2017, at Colonial Manor Nursing Home, Danville. He was born on April 3, 1933, the son of Louis and Dorothy {Snyder} Pichon. He was united in marriage to Patsy Clapp on July 3, 1954. She survives. He is also survived by: his two sons, Brian K. Pichon and Brent A. Pichon; and his brother, Frank Pichon. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and one brother. Kenny graduated from Oakwood High School in 1953. After graduation, he worked for Robert Stine. Mr. Stine taught him to be a mechanic and he then opened his own shop, Pichon Auto Service, which he owned for 34 years retiring in 1996. He served proudly in the US Army and was stationed in Germany. He was a life-time member of the Moose Lodge. He loved his family dearly. A celebration of Kenny's life will be held at 11:00am, Wednesday, June 21, 2017, at Sunset's Oakwood Chapel, 105 E South Main St, Oakwood, IL, with Patti Wise officiating. Visitation will be held 5pm to 7pm, Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in Oakwood Cemetery.
