KENNETH "KENNY" F. EADES Kenneth "Kenny" F. Eades, 74, of Alvin, passed away at 9:20 a.m. Monday, January 16th, 2012 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. Kenny was born on December 15th, 1937, in Bloomington, Illinois, the son of Brent and Ethel (King) Eades. He married Pauline Howie on January 3rd, 1958, in Danville. She preceded him in death on August 11th, 2004. He is survived by two sons- Randy Joe (Patricia) Cary of Pence, Indiana and Daryl "Tommie" Thomas Cary of Lebanon, Indiana; two daughters- Linda (Allen) Ingram of Alvin, Illinois and Cathy (Daniel) Crowe of Canton, Georgia; seven brothers- John (Julie) Eades of Leroy, Illinois, George "Bob" Eades of Danville, Bill (Marnita) Eades of Pensacola, Florida, David (Linda) Eades of Terre Haute, Indiana, Ronnie (Sheryl) Eades of Dixon, Tennessee, Jerry (Glenda) Eades of Avon, Indiana and Rick Eades of New Johnsonville, Tennessee; four sisters- Marilyn Fowler of Louisville, Kentucky, Shirley (Ralph) Baker of McEwen, Tennessee, Donna (Jerry) Royster of Independence, Missouri and Brenda Eades of McEwen, Tennessee; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend- Lou McKinney of Veedersburg, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, granddaughter and brother- Paul "Skeeter" Eades. Kenny graduated from Rossville High School in 1956. He enlisted in the United States Air Force and served from 1956 to 1958. Kenny owned and operated Phillips 66 in Bismarck for 12 years. He later managed Terra/Westland CO-OP for 25 years, until retiring in 2001. Kenny was a member of Music in the Heartland and enjoyed playing gospel music and country music. He played for the Country Jumper's in the 60's, Hometown Gospel Connection, Country Gentlemen and Kenny Eades and Friends. Kenny enjoyed music, reading, gardening, fishing and watching sports. He also loved to spend time with his family and friends. A Celebration of the life of Kenneth "Kenny" F. Eades will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 21st, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, a Life Celebration Home, with Pastor Cathy McCoy and Rev. Linda Rowe officiating. Burial will follow the service in Gundy Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association or to Music in the Heartland.
