Kenneth Clarkston 53, of Indianola, passed away at home at 4:06 pm, October 17, 2011. He was born on February 2, 1958, in Clinton, IN, the son of Lawrence and Juanita Burke Clarkston. Ken married Marty Bennett on May 6, 1989 in Georgetown. She will miss him along with : his mother, Juanita Murray of Indianola; three sons, Kenneth (Chrissy Martin) Clarkston II of Westville, Kacy Clarkston, & Wyatt Clarkston, both of Indianola; two daughters, Kalona (Mark) Forman of Danville & Ashley (Charles) Terry of Chrisman; one sister, Dixie (David) Sowers of Bloomingdale, IN; three brothers, John (Wanda) Clarkston of Cates, IN, Howard (Shirley) Clarkston of Advance, MO, & Jack (Laura) Clarkston of Kingman, IN; and five grandchildren, Ashland, Kenneth III, Ariel, Daniel and Dakota. He was preceded by: his father; step-father, Floyd Murray; and one brother, Larry. Ken was a graduate of Jamaica High School Class of 1977. He had previously worked for Mitsubishi Motors in Bloomington and was a member of the U.A.W. Local 2488. He enjoyed working on cars and was known as "Mr. Fix It". He loved horseback riding and going to antique auctions. Most of all, he enjoyed his family and grandkids. A Celebration of Life funeral service will be at 11:00am, Saturday, October 22, 2011, at Sunset's Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home in Georgetown with Pastor Paul Kent officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be 3-7pm, Friday, October 21, 2011, at the funeral home. Place of rest will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Indianola. Memorials may be given to an education fund for his sons Kacy and Wyatt C/O Houghton - Leasure Funeral Home.
