Kendra Spanglo-Lindsey

Kendra Nichole Ray Spanglo-Lindsey was granted her angel wings when she was reborn into heaven on August 16, 2015 at 10:38 pm. Kendra's journey began April 4, 2013 as the daughter of Cherri Spanglo and Donald Lindsey Jr. of Champaign. Although Kendra's life would seem too short to many, those who were touched by her understood that quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Her gentle smile would melt the hearts of those around her. We are thankful her sister, Makenzie, had the chance to meet her so she could hold onto Kendra's gentle spirit. With her unique personality, she encouraged us to believe that each day is blessing and an opportunity to create lasting memories. Some of Kendra's favorite things to do were swimming, biking Snap Chatting with her family, her unlimited WeFe (WiFi) for YouTube, and camping with her family. Although she loved these things, nothing compared to being in the presence of her baby sister while either playing Xbox with Daddy, or spending quality time with Mommy. Kendra is survived by her loving parents, Cherri Spanglo and Donald Lindsey Jr.; her baby sister, Makenzie Lindsey; maternal grandparents, Papa James and Nana Margaret Spanglo; paternal grandparents, Papa Donald Sr. and Mema Eltricia Lindsey; maternal great grandparents, Carl and Vi Smith; as well as many TT's, uncles and cousins. Kendra was welcomed into heaven by her paternal great grandparents, Elease and William Milton and Andrew and Esther Lindsey. With Kendra's rebirth, we are reminded that her life is one to be celebrated. A service to celebrate Kendra's life will be held at 1:00 pm Friday August 28, 2015 at Windsor Road Christian Church. Sunset Funeral Home, 710 N. Neil St. in Champaign, is handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial contribution in Kendra's name to the Kendra Spanglo-Lindsey Memorial Fund at the U of I Credit Union.
