Ken Morton

Kenneth Morton 90, of Mahomet, IL. passed away at his home on Sunday, April 5, 2026. He was born on June 19, 1935, the son of Edward and Hazel Morton (Davis). He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Carol. He is also survived by his daughter, Kenna Mitchem (Curtis), grandchildren, Kyle Mitchem (Kirby), Clay Mitchem (Cassie), great grandchildren, Payton, Kendall, Kyler, Bennett, Emily, and sister, Linda Warren. Ken loved spending time with his grand and great grandchildren. He enjoyed working in his yard and spending time outdoors. Ken was a member of Shriners Children’s Hospital and the Mahomet Masonic Lodge. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Margaret Hadler.

Visitation will be held on Friday April 17, 2026, from 12pm-1pm at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center’s Mahomet Chapel 1102 Churchill Rd. Mahomet.IL. 61853. His service will follow at 1pm. Ken will be interred at Eastlawn Cemetery in Urbana, IL.
