Kaylin Leigh Dietrich, 18, of Champaign, formerly of Arthur, passed away at 11:40 p.m. Sunday, October 2nd, 2011 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, Illinois, from injuries suffered in an automobile accident. Kaylin was born on December 13th, 1992, in Urbana, Illinois, the daughter of Jon and Delynn (Sperry) Dietrich. She is survived by her mother- Delynn Mast of Arthur; father- Jon (Thu Huynh) Dietrich of Urbana; brother- Michael Dietrich of Arthur; maternal grandparents- Larry and Jamie Sperry of Fithian; paternal grandmother- Mary Dietrich of Varna, Illinois; maternal great-grandmother- Leah Sperry of Fithian; uncles- Greg (Amanda) Sperry of Fithian and Chris (Bonita) Dietrich of Peoria; aunts- Melanie (Michael) Crank of Varna and Joy Dietrich of Rochester, Minnesota; cousins- Reed and Quinn Sperry and several other very special cousins; and her dog- Tucker. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather- Henry Dietrich; maternal great-grandparents- Orville and June Whitaker and Glenn Sperry. Kaylin graduated from Arthur Christian School in 2011. She attended Parkland College, as a graphic design student. She previously worked at Yoder's Kitchen in Arthur and most recently worked at Diamond Nails in Mahomet as a licensed nail technician. She was a graduate of Rozas School of Nail Technology in Chicago and had a great talent for nail design. Kaylin was very talented and enjoyed drawing, writing poetry and music. She loved art and had a great appreciation for it. She also enjoyed fishing with her grandpa, playing the flute in her high school marching band, animals, and watching movies, especially the Titanic. Kaylin had a great heart and was very caring. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her and loved her. A Celebration of the life of Kaylin Leigh Dietrich will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 7th , 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, a Life Celebration Home, 3940 North Vermilion Street, Danville, Illinois 61834, with Pastor Dave Garver officiating. Burial will follow the service at Stearns Cemetery in Fithian. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made in Kaylin's name to the Arthur Christian School in Arthur.
