Osceola, Ind. -- Kay Stewart, 66, of Osceola and formerly of Covington, Indiana, passed away at 11:05 p.m. EST Friday, January 16, 2009 at Elkhart General Hospital in Elkhart, Indiana. Kay was born June 27, 1942 in Covington, Indiana, the daughter of the late Henry Everett and Gertrude May Shumaker Watts. She married Richard Stewart on February 19, 1966 in Covington, Indiana. He survives. Other survivors include one daughter, Toni(Louis)Estrada of Osceola, Indiana; two grandchildren, Damian Pedigo and Sadie Estrada both of Osceola, Indiana; one brother, Charles(Cheryl)Watts of Covington, Indiana; several nieces and nephews. Kay was preceded in death by one daughter, Gina R. Stewart, and one brother, Robert and his wife Helen Truex. Kay was a 1960 graduate of Covington High School. She enjoyed working on crossword puzzles and was a big Indianapolis Colts fan. Kay also enjoyed NASCAR and watching her favorite driver Mark Martin. Funeral services: 2 p.m. EST Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Pastor Herb Smith; Burial: Mount Hope Cemetery in Covington, Indiana; Visitation: 1 p.m. EST Tuesday, January 20, 2009 until time of services at the funeral home.
