Kay Readnour, 79, of Georgetown, passed away at 12:56pm, Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at her home. She was born in Danville, IL, on May 29, 1942, the daughter of Walter and Robbie {Middleton} Barnes, both deceased. She was united in marriage to Dennis Readnour on June 20, 1964. He will miss her dearly. Kay will also be missed by her sons, Gary Readnour & Darin (Kim) Readnour, both of Georgetown; her two grandchildren, Logan Readnour & Chase Readnour; and is also survived by her sister-in-law, Lorena Barnes. She was preceded in death by her brother, Gerald. Kay was known by many to love Jesus and cherish her family, especially her grandchildren, of whom she was so proud. Her favorite holiday was Christmas and she also enjoyed watching her favorite teams, Chicago Cubs, and the Illini Basketball. She will dearly be remembered by all who knew and loved her. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, August 21, 2021, at St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church, 109 W 7th Street, Georgetown, IL with Father Saupp officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to her service at the Church. She will be laid to rest in Georgetown Cemetery. It is kindly requested that face masks be worn, and social distancing is practiced by those in attendance of the visitation and or service. Memorial donations may be given in her name to American Cancer Society. Her family has entrusted her arrangements with Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Georgetown, Illinois 200 E.
