Kay M. Roberts

Danville Kay M. Roberts, 84, of Danville passed away at 5:30 PM at Gardenview Manor in Danville on May 22, 2020.

Kay was born the daughter of Fred and Clara (Milkowski) Dombroskie in Danville, IL on June 20, 1935. She married Edgar Roberts on December 24, 1953 in Danville, IL and he preceded her in death on March 17, 1997.

Survivors include three sons, Kervin (Chris) Roberts of Danville, IL, Danny (Shelia) Roberts of Westville, IL and Brian (Anita) Roberts of Campbellsville, KY, as well as 20 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Kay is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Edgar, three sons, Michael, James and Greg Roberts, two brothers, Eldon and Jack Dombrowskie and six sisters, Connie Whiteacre, Gail Merkle, Pauline Harms, Joanne "Tiny" Hyde, Carol McGinnis and one infant sister.

Kay was a member of the American Legion Post 51 Auxiliary and worked as a Bartender at the Post for many years. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed spending her free time visiting with family and friends as well as playing B.I.N.G.O and Bunco.

A private family Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at 10:00 AM in Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Robbie Ketcherside will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. A private family visitation will be held from 9:00 10:00 AM at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made in Kays name to the American Legion Post 51.
