Danville - Kay L. Jones, 75, of Barneveld, NY, formerly of Danville passed away at 11:25 AM on November 29, 2016 at St Luke's Hospital, Utica, NY. Kay was born on August 24, 1941 the daughter of Everett J. and Bertha M. (Callaway) Ashley in Danville, IL. She is survived by her son, Donald (Cindy) Jones of Windermere, FL, her daughter, Pam Givens of Barneveld, NY, one brother, Bill (Karen) Ashley of Covington, IN, five grandchildren, Ashely Jones of Brunswick, GA, Joshua (Brittney) Jones of Washington, DC, Kelsey, John, and Sydney Givens all of Barneveld, NY, two great-grandchildren, Landon Benge of Brunswick, GA and Evangeline Joy Jones of Washington, DC. Kay is preceded in death by her parents. Kay was a member of the Central Christian Church in Danville, IL and enjoyed spending her free time with her family and friends. She worked at Wal-Mart in Danville, IL for many years before transferring to the Wal-Mart in Utica, NY and retired in 2010. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, December, 6 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion St. in Danville. Officiating will Raymie Gordon. Inurnment will be at a later date. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 5, 2016 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
