Kay Elizabeth Manning 72, of Georgetown, passed away at 10:18 a.m. Thursday May 6, 2010 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. Kay was born on April 7, 1938 in Paris, IL, the daughter of Harry E. and Helen D. Tague Wolfe. She first married James L. Bodart and later married Carl H. Manning sr on January 18, 1967 in Georgetown; Carl preceded her in death on December 15, 1996. Those who will miss her are her son; Carl H. (Gina) Manning JR of Boca Raton, FL, her daughters; Jamie Lynn (James) Barnes of Georgetown and Kelly Elaine (Joseph) Ingalsbe of Indianola, a son in law Bob Mosier of Indianola, two brothers; Donald A. (Karen) Wolfe of Danville, Walter A.( Sandra) Starr of Catlin, a sister Barbara (James) Depratt of Catlin, also her grandchildren; Jennifer Lynn Key, Jessica Rene Barnes, Judith Layne Alexander, Tyler Ray Hansen, Clayton Cole Mosier, Lucas Paul Ingalsbe and Zara Beth Anderson and six great-grandchildren. Kay was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter Janice mosier and a step-daughter Carolyn Sue Friedman. Kay had worked at Catlin and Georgetown IGA grocery stores as a cashier for several years. She was a member of Central Park Church of Christ in Tilton and had served as past president of the Georgetown Music Boosters. Kay was an avid Chicago White sox fan; she enjoyed reading, sewing and tending to her house plants and flowers and watching the humming birds. Kay also liked computers and going on road trips. Most of all her family and grandchildren was most important to her. A celebration of life service for Kay Elizabeth Manning will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday May 9, 2010 at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home in Georgetown with Pastor Raymie Gordon officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be from 3-7 p.m. Sunday May 9, 2010 at the funeral home. Her place of rest will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Indianola.
