Danville - Kathy Sue Thompson, 60, of Danville passed away at 7:41 AM on January 14, 2017 at Presence United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville, IL. Kathy was born on May 22, 1956 the daughter of OJ and Nelma Ann (Childs) Thompson in Detroit, MI. Survivors include her two daughters, Trachelle Lyn Williams of Danville, and Danylle Evaann Peardon of Coon Rapids, MN, her fiance, Richard Sparta of Danville, IL, 13 grandchildren, Lindsey, Chad, Mustaful, Elijah, Terryelle, Kionte, Kivonjanae, Davian, Laquona, Tyerra, Porches, Carl, and Corey, and her great-grandchildren Chase, Tyerra Jr, as well as nine others. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Michael Thompson and one sister, Shirley Willfong. Kathy was a kind-hearted woman and always spoke her mind. She would give her last dime to anyone in need and go without in order to provide for her family. She had to have her coffee and enjoyed her beer. She was always up for family gatherings, horseplay and just goofing around with her family. Kathy also enjoyed reading her Bible with her fiance, Richard. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday January 19, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N Vermilion Street Danville, IL. Raymie Gordon will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
