Kathy Schnepper

MAHOMET - Kathy Jean Schnepper, 63, of Mahomet passed away Sunday evening, January 18, 2015 at her home, surrounded by her family. Born June 12, 1951 in Chicago, she was the daughter of Harry and Lois (Porter) Rupelt. She married Carney Schnepper on June 9, 1995 in Putnam County, Indiana. Kathy worked for many years at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She worked in many different areas on campus as an administrative assistant. Kathy enjoyed needlepoint and loved camping whenever possible. She was also a member of a local archery club. Kathy is survived by her husband, Carney of Mahomet; two sons, Andrew Bieszart of Glen Ellyn, Illinois and Adam (Judy) Bieszart of Roselle, Illinois; two sisters, Karen Lantgen of River Grove, Illinois and Kristy Welch of Carol Stream, Illinois; and three grandchildren, Jacob and Ashleigh Bieszhart, and Nicholas Gust. She was preceded in death by her parents. According to her wishes, there will be no services. Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Sunset Funeral Homes Champaign-Urbana Chapel.
