Kathy Lynn Paltridge

Kathy Lynn Paltridge, age 55 of Georgetown, passed away peacefully at her home Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 7:03 PM with her family by her side. She was born July 29, 1959 in Garden Grove, CA the daughter of Raymond and Beverly (Maskel) Paltridge. She married David Garowski in 1980 in Danville and they later divorced in 1986. Together they had one daughter, Katie (Jason) Williamson of Potomac. They survive and will miss her tremendously. Also surviving are her mother Beverly; sisters, Suzanne (Dennis) Niziolkiewicz of Danville and JoEllen (Daniel) Reardon of Potomac; Her half-sister, Patt (Joe) Hendrix of Alsea, Or; one granddaughter, Lyndee Williamson; her faithful companion, Louie; friends, Marla (Rhino), JoJo (Zane), Leann (Paul), Kari (RJ), Patti, and Kimmie Neal, as well as all the friends that we may have missed; and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond and grandmother, Catherine Ward of which Kathy is named after. Kathy worked at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville for many years and then went to work in the mail room at the Danville Department of Corrections for the past 15 years. She loved animals, especially her dog, Louie. She also liked to crochet with her friend Marla, which they called "goat roping". Most of all Kathy loved to hang out and laugh with her family and friends. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Danville Carle Oncology. Per Kathy's wishes her body will be donated to science and a memorial service visitation will be held Friday, July 24, 2015 from 4-7 PM at Sunset's Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home in Georgetown with a short prayer service at 7:00 PM. Chaplin Chris Easton will guide the family in prayer. Memorials can be made in Kathy's name to Kathy Paltridge Memorial Fund.
