Kathy Bott, age 62, left this world to be with our Lord on Thursday, August 25, 2016. She was born on June 2, 1954, in Danville, IL, to Harold and Betty (Kelly) Bott. Kathy grew up in Tilton, IL and resided there most of her life. She attended Daniel Grade School, Southview, and was a Danville High graduate. Kathy earned a horticultural degree from DACC, then went on to work at Hyster. From there she went on to work in personnel at the Danville Correctional Center from which she retired. Kathy enjoyed many hobbies, which included oil painting, gardening, hair dressing, shopping, and most of all spending time with friends and family. Her pride and joys of life were her son Aaron and granddaughter Emma. Those closest to her will always remember her for her unique laugh and the joy it brought to those around her. Kathy was preceded in death by her mother Betty. She is survived by her father Harold Bott of Tilton, IL, son Aaron Bott (Teri Lynn) of Danville, IL, granddaughter Emma Bott, her lifelong best friend Glenda (Sissy) Feutz of Danville, IL, her brother Kelly Bott of Westville, IL. Also, her nephews Brandon Bott, Kylee Bott (Stephanie), and Brook Bott, nieces Kandi Pryor (Nick) and Kaitlyn Bott and her many great nieces and nephews. A celebration of Kathy's life will be held on Sunday, August 28, 2016 at 4:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 North Vermilion, Danville IL, 61834 with Pastor Raymie Gordon officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-4:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville.
