Kathryn B. Ingalsbe, 88 of Danville, passed away on February 18, 2015 at Lee Memorial Health System in Fort Myers, FL surrounded by her family. Kathryn was born on July 3, 1926 in Oakwood, IL the daughter of Vernice and Goldie (Clapp) Redman. She married Vern Ingalsbe on July 21, 1951 in Oakwood, IL and he still survives. She will be deeply missed by her husband, Vern Ingalsbe of Danville, one son, Steven Craig (Karrie) Ingalsbe M.D. of El Paso, IL, five grandchildren; Evan Lyle Jehle, Emily Marie Jehle, Daniel Craig Ingalsbe, Rachael Marie Ingalsbe and Matthew Robert Ingalsbe and son in law, Merle Jehle. She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Karla Kay Jehle. Kathryn was a graduate of Oakwood Township High School in 1944. She went on to college at the University of Illinois where she received her Bachelors degree in Business and Education in 1948. She was a past member of the Eastern Star Danville Jr. Womens Club and is a member of St. James United Methodist Church in Danville. Kathryn taught for 3 years out of college at Arlington Heights, IL in short hand and typing. After her and Verns marriage she was a substitute teacher at Danville High School. A celebration of Kathryns life will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at 10:30 AM at St. James United Methodist Church in Danville with Reverend Randall Robinson officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 23, 2015 from 4:00-7:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville. Entombment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made in Kathryns name to St. James United Methodist Church.
