Kathleen 'Kathy' Anne Carmody Aka'Mac'

Rossville Kathleen "Kathy" Anne Carmody, "Mac", whose life made the world a better place for all who knew her, passed away on May 31, 2019.

"Kathy" was born the daughter of the late Patrick and Sylvia McNamara in Chicago, IL. She and Donald were married for 36 years, after being childhood sweethearts for eleven years, and he survives of Rossville, IL.

Kathy was the loving wife of Donald, sister of Colleen, Kevin and Betsy, loving sister-in-law of the Carmody siblings and beloved aunt of many nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews.

Kathy was a devoted kindergarten teacher for over 36 years. She was a Master Naturalist, taking care of Eastern Blue Bird boxes, was a member of the Audubon Society and the Vermilion County Farm Bureau. Kathy loved all animals and enjoyed antiquing and gardening.

A Celebration of Life will be held July 7, 2019 from 12:00 4:00 PM at Turtle Run Golf and Banquet Center, 332 East Liberty Lane Danville, IL 61832. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834 is assisting the family with arrangements.
