Kathleen Hawn

Kathleen Hawn, 94, passed away at her home in Dana, Indiana, on February 27, 2025. She was born January 23, 1931, in Cayuga, Indiana, the daughter of the late John and Lillian (Pribble) Vandevender. Kathleen married Russell Hawn on March 14, 1951, in Cayuga, Indiana. He preceded her in death.

Kathleen is also preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters, and a son James (Dianna) Hawn.

She is survived by her children; Kathy (Rob) Manion, Ruth Baker, Phillip (Cathy) Hawn, Janet Hawn, and Becky (Tim) Stotlar, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Kathleen was a gentle loving Mother who worked hard raising six kids. She loved watching her hummingbirds, quilting, flowers (especially those picked from the woods), spoiling her grand dog Rambo, and doing word searches. She enjoyed playing games and was a fierce competitor when playing Dominoes or UNO. She was a member and Sunday school teacher of Lindsey Chapel and a strong believer in Christ. We know she will enjoy walking in Heavan, but she will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

A Celebration of Kathleen’s Life will be held at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center’s DeVerter Chapel, 215 North Division Street Cayuga, Indiana, 47928, at 11 am Monday March 3, 2025. Officiating will be Pastor Mike Bennett. Burial to follow at McKendree Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10-11am on Monday.
