Kathleen Ann Pitlik

Kathleen Ann (Guiliani) Pitlik, 82, of Danville passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at 11:02 A.M. in Danville, Illinois with her family by her side. Kathleen was born on April 6, 1936, in Lincoln, IL, the daughter of David and Anna (Branam) Guiliani. Kathleen was raised on the outskirts of Westville, Illinois. She attended Westville grade schools and graduated from Georgetown High School in 1954. She was active in choral activities during her high school years and sang for many local venues. She worked at a soda fountain at Kresge and R & S Printing prior to her marriage. Kathleen married the love of her life, William S. Pitlik, Sr. on August 25, 1956 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Westville, Illinois. He preceded her in death in November 2017. She was a stay at home mom who raised six children. She led a very active life by being a very active parent who seldom missed her children's activities. She was a member of the PTA and St. Joseph Catholic Church choir. She was a very devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved doing laundry, cooking for her family, singing and listening to music. Survivors include his two daughters, Angela Mitchell and Brenda (Jake Spain) Clark; three sons, John (Julia) Pitlik, William (Cindy) Pitlik Jr., and Vince (Jill) Pitlik; grandchildren, Aaron Pitlik, Brandi (Nate) Brinkley, Dustin Pitlik, Amy (Michael) Esteves, Melissa (Justin) Divan, Robert (Raquel Webber) Mitchell, Thomas Clark II, Cathleen Clark, Westin Pitlik, Tyler (Candice and TJ) Brandon; and six step-grandchildren Katherine, Ronald, Sara, Thomas, Kelley, Robin; 28 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Eileen Golcynski of Georgetown and Paulette (Butch) Young of Edwardsville; and many nieces and nephews. Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband; daughter Cathleen Pitlik; her parents; sister Pauline Guiliani and brother David Guiliani. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30 A.M. Monday, September 17, 2018, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 444 E. Main St. Danville, IL. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Danville, Illinois. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 16, 2018, from 2 P.M. to 5 P.M. at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion St. in Danville. A Rosary Service will take place at 1:30 P.M. at Sunset Funeral Home prior to the visitation. In lieu of flowers, please feel welcome to make donations to The Alzheimer's Association; Debra of America (Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa Research Association); Holy Family Catholic Church or a donor of your choice.
