Katherine Schultz, 102, of Danville, passed away at 1:35 am on September 24, 2013 at Colonial Manor Nursing Home. She was born March 12, 1911, in Herrin, IL, the daughter of Albert and Mary (Shahadey) Joseph. Katherine was married to Howard Schultz for nearly 50 years. He preceded her in death in 1979. Katherine is survived by six grandchildren, Kathy Godbey of Indianapolis, IN, John (Lucinda) Blair of Champaign, Judith Williams and Linda Mullen, M.D. both of Bronxville, NY, Mike Mullen and Kelly Silva both of Fishers, IN; 12 great grandchildren, Heather, Jason, Dawn, Dana, Sara, Deanna, Jennifer, Max, Gabriel, Molly, Sean and Juliana; 11 great great grandchildren, two sisters, Bess Thornsbrough of Westville and Rosie Moreiko of Swansea, IL and special, longtime friend, Myron Bates of Danville. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Delores Schultz Mullen; one brother, Charles Shahadey; and one sister, Katie LaHood. Katherine ran the soda fountain at Carsons Drug Store, did salad and roll preparation for the 300 Room and customer service at the DoHut Donut Shop. She was a long time member of Holy Trinity Episcopalian Church in Danville. She loved people and spending time with her grandchildren and family. Katherine loved to talk and enjoyed visiting with everyone. A celebration of Katherines life will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, September 27, 2013 at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, Danville with Father Scanlon officiating. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Danville. A visitation will be held prior to the service from Noon to 2:00 pm on Friday September 27, 2013 at the church. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center assisted the family with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made in Katherines name to Holy Trinity Episcopal Church.
