Katherine Dillion, 65, of Danville, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. She was born on October 5, 1949 in Danville, the daughter of Alton Eugene and Grace Elizabeth (Elliott) Johnson. She married Lester Dillion and he preceded her in death in 1990. She will be deeply missed by her significant other, Bob Craft, one son, Michael Dillion, three sisters, Linda Allsopp, Vicki Barnett, Tricia (Mark) Russian, grandchildren; Alexis, Zane, Blake, Dez and Lucas. Katherine was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three children; Andrew Carl, Benjamin Joseph and Melissa Ann, one brother-in-law, Jerry Allsopp. Kathy graduated from Westville High School and Danville Area Community College where she received her LPN license. She worked at Presence United Samaritans Medical Center for a short time before taking a job at the Danville VA where she worked for 17 years. Kathy attended Danville First Assembly of God and loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She loved playing computer games, seeing friends on Facebook, collecting stamps, Fenton glassware and lighthouses. She enjoyed flowers and spending time outdoors. Kathy suffered over 13 years with a chronic disease that caused her much pain but now she is free. A celebration of life memorial service for Kathy will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Danville First Assembly of God at 11:00 AM with Ramona Logan officiating. Cremation rites and burial will take place at a later date. Memorials can be made in care of the family to go towards funeral expenses.
