Kate Mccrone

A light has gone out; without so much as a flicker, and all we have left is the precious memory of how brightly it burned, and the warmth she gave us as Kate Imogene McCrone passed away peacefully on March 21, 2013 in Danville, Illinois. She was born on November 23, 1933 the Daughter of Claude E. Doggett and Mildred Bishop Doggett. Left to cherish her memory are her 7 Children; Mike (Julie) McCrone, Cathy (Jerry) Smith, Steve "Sam" McCrone, Debbie(Mike Bialeschki) Goodman, Diane (Freddy Delarosa) McCrone , Claudia Wakefield and Harold Rudd . 21 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren, and several Great Great Grandchildren. 2 special nieces, Sherri and Lori McCrone. And special friends Debra Doggett Cope and Mary Doggett Kate was a made true loving mother and sister, gracious, kind and gentle, who loved her family and friends. Kate always helped any one in need. Kate has had to face many hardships in her life, but she battled on against all adversity, always continuing to display great courage with her truly kind, independent nature and responsibilities, as family and friends will attest to. Kate enjoyed bingo, traveling and her Grandkids. An avid Elvis fan and loved soap operas. Please do not shed any tears, as my life has just begun. When you see the sun shining, that is me smiling at you. When you hear the wind blowing, that is me whispering in your ear "I Love you" When it is raining those are the tears from heaven wishing you were here with me. When the snow is on the ground white and glisten, that is the robe that I have set aside for you. Please be happy and I promise we will meet again. Don't grieve for me for now I am free. I am following the path of God laid for me. And when one door opens I hope you Dance! A celebration of Kate's life will be held at Sunset Funeral Home Sunday March 24, 2013 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm Memorials can be made in lieu of flowers or in Kate's name to the American Diabetes Foundation.
